Yeah, I noticed the Arctic grill cover being used in a very innovative way.

Geee here I was thinking it was a M38 jeep! Confused

Would this jeep fall into the "bubba" class?

This is your chance to own a true piece of history. This Jeep is rare for a few reasons, its a Marine jeep, it's a 1942Laughing but its also a factory PROTOTYPE GENERATOR jeepLaughing , meaning that it was designed to power a MASH unit emergency electricity. Although its not currently installed in the Jeep, WE DO HAVE IT. As far as we know it still works, and it comes with jeep. This jeep runs of multi fuels. The tires are brand new, the Jeep runs and drives like new. Clean under this on, it has been in the family since the early 60's and has been garaged and rarely driven, it has been restored here and there but mostly just a super fine example of a rare jeep, WITHOUT the body filler that most of them have. You will be pleased to own this Jeep. We believe this one belongs in a museum , but due to family needing the money we must sell it. This jeep is so nice, and runs great. It is perfect for shows or parades. It is always started once or twice a week and backed out of the garage and moved back in again. It has the PTO system with whinch on front and rearLaughing . Also included in this auction is a large MASH unit tent heater that is also multi fuel, it looks to have never been used and is VERY rare. Please feel free to have a appraiser come out and look at this beauty before you bid. This Jeep is NOT for-sale locally so it shouldn't get gone before the auction ends Confused However if it meets the reserve I will end the auction early and sell to the highest bidder, But the transaction will still be made through ebay only. Please do not bid if you don't have the money, this is a family owned jeep that means a lot to us, so please don't play games with us, either buy it or don't. No hard feelings. The SN/VIN#IS MC34211 ??1942??Rolling Eyes and its a TP25(Tire Pressure!) Laughing Generator Prototype JeepRolling Eyes. Please do your research and discover just how rare it really is. This Jeep still has its minor war pings in the body hear and there (we did not want to get rid of those)[/bLaughing] why use body filler if you dont need it? This jeep is a blast to own and drive. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me, I can be reached by text at 205-520-4782 or via email. I have included pictures of the generator powering unit and the multi fuel tent heater, also include is a Marine tool box. Buyer is Responsible for any shipping/ transporting cost. A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $2,000 IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION ENDING. GOOD LUCK and HAPPY BIDDING
Yes this is a RUST FREE jeep true survivor.

It's a shame but it really makes Alabama look bad. I hope one of you Dixie Division guys can find this guy and either get his ad corrected or expose him for the sake of the Great State of Alabama at least!.

Just a few observations:

1-M151 instrument cluster.
2-CJ tailgate
3-A mix of CJ period & late wheels on the ground.
4-Civvy aftermarket tail lights
5-civvy carb
6-late CJ air cleaner
7-Civvy crossover air tube
8-civvy draw bar
9-flat steel floor in rear or a lot of bondo.
10-Civvy plugs, wires and distributor
11-wrong oil filter
12-engine lift eye gone
13-The TP25 generator set turns out to be a plain 100 amp alternator.
14-?CJ hood
15-Looks like a slave receptacle installed in the cowl right side.

Looks like someone got thru to the seller. He withdrew the auction.

Maybe he saw the error of his ways? Thankfully before some unsuspecting victim parted with their $$.

Mind you, the bodytub looks fairly straight (judging from the not-great photos). Of course, the fishing tackle boxes could be hiding holes! Mr. Green

Hey! That's what makes it "rare" - probably not another one just like it Very Happy

Gotta love the high quality photographs, too - I'm sure those really help draw in the bidders. What's up with that lead shot? "Let's try shining a light right at the camera!" Trying to blind me so I don't see the details?

A 'sticky' of the most mis-representational advertisments encountered,
with this as the reigning 'best of the worst' might be in order. Add Wes'
list of incorrects with it. I loved the jerry can placement, so handy to
refuel..
