I need to get a replacement clutch pedal (the foot pad with welded bent rod) for my M38A1. I found an M38 pedal listed for sale, and in the parts books the pedal assembly is the same number, but the pedal pads are different numbers. Are the M38 and M38A1 clutch pedals identical, or do I have to locate one specifically for an M38A1? Thanks. Smile

Dave,

I think the pedals are the same, but the pedal pads are different as you posted.

I am not an M38A1 parts expert, so I am sure some of the others will jump in. Smile

Not totally sure. One would think with the exact part number it would be the exact same compatible part.

However, it is my understanding that there were many manufacturers that made pedals for these things, so it wouldnt be totally rare to see some with slight variations.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone. I'm not a pedal expert!
Infact, I just got a set of NOS ones from AJP just 30 minutes ago!

The "pedal Assembly" is a poor name for the part 7371342 (Which is the same for both the M38 and the m38A1) since it is only the arm assembly that the actual pedal pad (7372825 M38 and 8328437 M38A1) fastens to. So the correct answer to your question is the pedal pads that your feet actually rest on are NOT the same for the M38 and the M38A1 and they are NOT part of the lower pedal assembly.
