I have this manual (TM9-804) scanned and ready to send, but it is marked "restricted", and am a little reluctant to distribute it without some documentation that indicates that it has been declassified.

TM's 9-804 for the M38 and 9-804A for the M38A1 were declasified 4/20/1953 and 6/24/1953. I would also like a scanned copy if you have it Eric.

captw,

Are you looking for the Canadian version of the operations manual...

I ask because I noticed your location...

I have a CDN-OM-804 Dated June 1952; Reprinted in 1960.

I can copy it for you and snail mail it... Do not have the ability to Adobe it...

Hey CAPTW,
How did you even to know to ask for TM9-804? It isn't listed anywhere. No one seems to even know it existed.

I've had my GPO copy for several years.

Here's TM 9-8014 page 1 for the M38A1 that shows it supersedes TM 9-804A.

Here's TM 9-8012 page 1 for the M38 that shows it supersedes TM 9-804.

I have a copy of the TM9-1804B I could scan in. I am also in need of the TM-804 document or whichever is the newest updated version.

Brian Asbury in Ontario Canada has reprinted manuals, of which has the OMD 804 (CDN) version, at a reasonable price. I recommend the actual manuals as copied versions tend to blacken the pictures and loose in the descriptions.

cheers,

Mk

TM 9-804 Dated Sep 1950 224 pages is the US Army manual for Operations and Maintenance of the early M38. It was superceded by TM 9-8012 dated JAN 1956 350 pages.

The OM9-804 dated JUN 1952 is the Canadian published short version Operator's Handbook for the M38 CDN. It is 67 pages.
