I want to install the two fording valves and cable on my 54 M38A1, I know one of the valves was installed in the crossover pipe but where was the second one, any pics would be welcome.

Since the fording system was only factory installed on the 52 & ear;y 53 M38A1's the only manuals with illustrations of it are the TM 9-804A Early M38A1 operator's manual (Fig 19 Pg 74)(Fig 25 Pg 110)(Fig 33 Pg 120)(Fig 36 Pg 125)(Fig 43 Pg 132)(Fig 50 Pg 145) and TM 9-8015-1 M38A1 engine manual (Chap 6 Underwater Eng Vent System)(Fig 110 Pg 149)(Fig 115 Pg 156) and the ORD 9 SNL G-758 (Fig 01-16 Pg 32).

You can download the PDF copies of TM 9-8015-1 and ORD 9 SNL G-758 free on our downloads page. We don't have TM 9-804A up there yet.

The fording valve goes where that short piece of rubber hose is just above the fuel pump.
