Folks, while trying to find the last two fittings for my M-38 I found a source for the elusive "Tee" that is between the vaccume pump and the wiper, where the Distributor vent ties in... In the photo below it is 178910...

This fittling has 1/4" inverted flare females on each end and 1/8" pipe female on the "Tee"... this is where the fitting with the .040" hole will attach.

I already have one on my jeep, and before I go order some I would like to know if there is anyone out there that needs this fitting...

Please let me know if interested...

Hal,

Are you talking about the 652 X 4 fitting?

I found every fitting needed except the one with the check ball at:

http://www.smithfast.com/index.htm

They have larger check ball fittings just not the smaller size we need.

Greg,

Wilf over on the Pad thickness thread is the one to find the Ball check valve... Fairview makes it but I am unable to find a distributor here in the US that carries it; it is PN 43-3A from Fairview...

Send Wilf an email and maybe he can hook you up...

Hope this Helps...

Wes, I came up with that Weatherhead number several years ago, but NAPA here says it is no longer available. Has it become available again, or do you have a local sourse? I'd like to find one.

Folks,

I have 3 of these fittings (spoken for) ordered from a local vendor and they are not cheap ($10.00 plus each) The problem is that they are being discontinued... This is what their supplier had on the shelf. I could order more but there would be a $50 plus setup fee to make them... I do not have that kind of funds...

I have a call into another vendor for availability and cost... hope to hear from him in the morning...

Will keep you up to date...

If it is the 652 X 4 fitting that is the correct fitting, I don't seem to remember the company (linked above in an earlier post) having a problem getting them.

If anybody's got one, or has a local supplier that still has some in stock, I would appreciate it if they would get it for me. I have checked with all the local parts places and the district NAPA warehouse and keep getting told the same thing, this fitting was discontinued several years ago and is no longer available. The only way to find one is to find a parts place that still has one sitting on the shelf. I'd like to find one. What I have works, just a brass "T" with 1/8" pipe threads that I added two 1/4" flair adapters to. Makes it a little long, so I'd really like to get the correct fitting.

Greg, I checked the Smith Fastener link, and they do not list the correct "T". you understand that the "T" has two different threads, two holes and 1/4" inverted flair, and the other is 1/8" pipe where the orifice fitting screws in

The post I made above with the correct "T" shown is off the Smith site.

Thanks.

I have one, but who knows now where I got it. I thought it was at Smith's.

I just called Smith's. He did have them (I must have gotten the last one) but he no longer does. He checked 3 other suppliers for me and they also are out.
