is the body on your Jeep? lifting the powerplant may have created another problem of floor clearance to the trans/transfer.

Hi Erik,
Good to hear from you.
Do you still need an original wing for your M38?
All the best,
Dave.

No thanks, the jeep still drives fine, besides a few small oilleaks.

In the future when i have more time i will replace the rearmeanseal, and also a good complete manifold, there is a little crack ( makes no noise ) in the exhaust manifold and the intakemanifold seems to be one from a generator. I compared it with the one on my son's GPW.
After wto jeeps and a VW1953 in 8 years, it is time to drive, to care and to enjoy the cars.

Since december 2011 i am 'grandfather' and a second grandchild is coming in december 2012.

succes with your second restoration !

Erik

I'll drop you an email.
I picked up couple of wings with a body. They are buried someplace in the garage but if you need one you can have it.
All the best ,
Dave.
