Hey Guys!

Found a friend to help out with the Willys project and it is moving along! I have some more questions though:

1) What is this plate that goes on the clutch? How does it work and what is it?
2) How does the oil filter assembly go on? I have no pictures or anything to show me how it goes on.

The "plate" is bolted to the side of the master cylinder and extends back and ties in with the clutch/brake pivot shaft. The oil filter bracket is the Cuno type and bolts to the head bolts on the right front of the engine. If you look up the technical manuals for M38 A1 you will find many pictures in it. Enjoy, John

Your plate is item "Z" in this photo

The correct bracket

The bracket you have is for the Military Junior that uses two straps around the cannister. You should be able to adapt it to your cuno using the single cuno mount strap in the top two holes.
