Rommel,

I moved your first event announcement to the Events board where it will get better response from folks looking for events. Let's try to keep this board on it's focus, which is parts.

That looks like a square cut-out on the rear piece; the original has a stamped depression.
Is the metal removed here or am I seeing this wrong, do you have a picture of the other side?

Sorry, but that image appears to be the same side only rotated 180 deg.
The back side of the license plate holder is what I was looking for.
Here is the area that I was questioning.

The original has a stamped depression or raised section depending on what side you are looking at. There is no metal removed at this point.
Your image "appeared" to have metal removed at this location.
It could be a combination of my eyes and the image that make it appear like this as I can't see the opposite side of the object.

Sorry for the confusion.

Quick question: Do the new and improved doors fold like the originals or are they fixed and non-foldable?

Rommel,

You should have your engineering folks download my photo album for reference work.

The original M38 doors were foldable and could be stowed on the rear wheelhouse like these two doors on the driver's side wheelhouse in the M38 TM.

You can see the riveted bottom folding joint in this photo
