The parts I refer to are TM9-1804B page 58 parts M and K. The pin would be L.

Okay was mucking with my "new" transmission today and went to fit the old top on so I could move the gears. (the new one has a rather bent stick) Anyways the smaller shift fork had somehow moved too far towards the screw in fittings and I cannot get it to move back, the rod is free I can rotate it but I cannot get it to move so the stick can engage. Any ideas? I don't want to strip it down from this spot because I would have to cut the lock pin off, there is not enough room to push it through.

well now it is pooched. Stripped it down to get it unstuck, then as I am putting it back together the one rail spins on me... the square slot for the shifter is now on the ball and spring. So despite everything being in decent shape and no rust it is a chunk of scrap metal.... don't know why I bother trying sometimes.
