Hello Gentlemen......,
Beg to ask if someone would be so kind as to email me a couple pictures of M38A1 fuel/vacuum pump/fording valve/ tappet cup- check valve configuration.
Someone braised one of the right angle brass fittings on the tappet cover cup shut, and I intend to correctly reconnect as it should be. Everything is pretty much correct and all there, just some good ol boy rigging that needs to be fixed right. ~ Swampy ~
This is the basic side valve cover plumbing for the early M38A1 with factory installed fording plumbing.
Here's the rest of the system.
You will find answers to over 90% of your questions on any Willys M Jeep right there in my photo album.
The system is also covered in great detail in the M38A1 engine service manual TM 9-8015-1. Here again a source for at least 80% of all your Willys M Jeeps questions is the published and free on out downloads page service manuals for these jeeps.
