Is a M715 considered a M series jeep? Yes I did, I bought one. And now that it is home,I can't answer the "why did you buy that? " The more I look at it,I still can't explain why,it isn't even green,it's orange. But in my defense as a young boy orange was my favorite color,so maybe that's why. How many jeeps are too many????

Shocked Too many jeeps?! What kinda crazy talk is that? Just take some slow, steady breaths, maybe a few sips of a cool beverage, and that feeling will pass. Very Happy

p.s. I just ran across this M725 custom on eBay (it's in Wis. too!)

I had a 1967 M715 that was orange, over the OD.

It was privately repatriated from Germany, where I assume it had served our Nato forces, then maybe been sold locally as surplus. I wonder if yours has a similar history for the orange paint. A German municipal department perhaps?

I know you all get sick of hearing me say this but.......... the Military Aid prgram gave hundreds of rebuilt M715s to Greece and a few are now surfacing from there.

CAMO in Austria have a quantity of the 'better' ones for sale at HUGE prices though completely shagged out they are relatively rust free and I don't know about you but I'd sooner work on the mechanical bits than the body work.

Most of the ex US 715s in Western Europe simply rusted away, I would say they are even rarer than M38s, this side of the pond anyway.
All the best,
Dave
