Looking to see if anyone knows if the two brackets that the rubber cushions and ground straps attached to for the voltage regulator were painted OD or unpainted. I have seen examples of both throughout pictures. Without the paint it looks like a silver finish as if they were plated. Picture below shows what I am talking about.

Mine appeared to be cad-plated; the photo on page 93 of Ryan's M38 Reference Guide suggests the same. _________________ Owen

Rusty cad were mine. I just painted them silver after bead blasting. John |

I am working on an A1 but the setup looks to be the same since they use the same regulator. Either way Cad looks to be correct. Thanks for replying guys! _________________ TJ
