Anybody seen one of these? It is almost identical to the 50R except for the end covers and there are no bolt holes for mounting in winch frame. All the major parts have the same part number or casting number as my Ramsey 50R. More pictures in my album m38mc

They have been discussed several times in the past. It is a much narrower version made for the early APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) M116 Husky. At least one person has discussed widening one to fit the 50/50R mounting.

That winch will fit the M38-A1 I just put it on my 38, once in 1994 and again in 2014 All you have to do is take it to the machine shop and lengthen it I beleave 3" The drum and shaft Turn down the ends. I got mine off ebay paid $1,500.00 NOS from Alaska, fit right in the standard winch frame, drive shafts every thing works looks sweet will try to post picks WES need a pic album anybody want photos email me and I'll send them not that savy on the computer buzzz

We know it can be made to fit. That has been mentioned many times in several threads on several sites. A G503 poster explained how it can be stretched back in 2003.

You were given an album back in June but you still haven't sorted out your email bouncing yet which is why you haven't been getting notices in your email when someone responds to one of your posts.
