want part of damage m38 tail gate

It was suggested to me to try and find a damaged tail gate that can't be used and just laying around. I need the bottom section rib to repair the one I have. eaglemn photo gallery page 15 photo 8 of the 22 should give you and Idea of what I'm looking for.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a tailgate cracked at the top edges but the section I am looking for sure looked good. the only problem is shipping is more than what Paid for the parts. but that is old news to everyone.
So that will be my first try for this fix.

Remember it doesn't have to be from an M38. A CJ gate will
work also.

Keep in mind that with minor changes the basic tailgate remained the same from 1945 throu 1981. Those areas of your tailgate that are specific to the M38 version you will need to find on an M38 tailgate but the rest can come from anything from the CJ2A thru the CJ6.

Steve,
Can you give the tailgate supplier dimensions or a marked
up photo and have them cut out the area you need and ship
only that?

A 4-1/2" angle grinder with cutoff wheel will do the job.

Otherwise Brown would ship the whole thing for about 50
bucks if already wrapped in cardboard.
