In My m38a1 I had to install a tank when I got it years ago because it didnt have one. I just got it runningand found that the gas sender is really off. I tried to adjust it by bending the rod to the float. It is really long and the tanknwont register full I have managed to get it accrate at the bottom before I run out of gas but thats it. How long is the rod to the float supposed to be. I think that when I bought it I was supplied with the wrong one. Also is fuel supposed to come out the filler cap when I make turns. The cap is new too |

My tank has a cone shaped vent on top and the gas cap is set to open vent. |
