The easiest way is to get one of the exhaust extension pipes
WO-811293
used with the M170, which is also offered by many dealers for the M38 and M38A1.
This part can make a big difference, as the exhaust is no longer swirled by the bumper.

Hello Richard,

Have you checked the rear clutch lever and see if the levers are in the correct position.
The levers must be aligned opposite each other.
There are repro parts out where the levers are in the wrong position and the pedal travel is not sufficient for the clutch to disengage properly ...

If you don't get the loops, you could make them yourself.
Take a sturdy wire of the right size,

and if you have an original one as a template,
bend the required number of them yourself.
I built a device for this so that everyone is the same.

Had the same experience with the rivets from a M38A1 dataplate set a few years ago.
At first glance, the data plates looked very good.
But even when removing the protective film, some of the color came off with it.
What can you expect for 40 €uro.
But otherwise they look good and are etched, so that ...

Hello Claudio,

the routing is shown in the Part TM.

The main difference between M38A1 and M170 is the lengh and that the rear fuelline goes to the left side, instead the 90° elbow that the M38A1 have.

Hello Murray,

you can try those Dry transfers, also called rub-ons or rubdowns, for lettering
what you need on your Radio set.

For example from decadry, or what you can buy in the UK.
Choose the nearest type in the nearest size.

It will work fine when you fix it with clear varnish

MB/GPW and CJ's didn't have bottom plates on the mounts.

M38 and M38A1 had them for the lower radiator support rods for complete Powerplant changing, the Army did.

It has all infos and specs you need.

Take a look to page 254

1311- Wheels, Hubs and drums

There you find the Bearings (Cup & Cone) whith the specs.

So you come to Timken 18590 for the Cone

These should be right for the MUTT and will fit M151 & M416 wheel hub's,
not for Willys M38 / M38A1

Just my opinion
