Hi Rick,
That link seems to be for a 12V coil?
Will post any problems with the Turk, though I only do about 1000miles a year in the jeep, so hopefully it won't be for a while.

Turkish Coil
Hi, Just a heads up on coils, spoke to John at Midwest, and he says he can't get any decent coils, NOS have run oyt and only far east iffy ones available. Suggested a chap in Holland from whom I have ordered one, meant to be NOS, not sure if American or Dutch, but in the meantime ordered one from ...

M38A1 Mechanics in North London, England
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm looking for a recommended mechanic to do some work on my Jeep.
I'm in North London in England, and the only places I've found that work on Willys Jeeps are down in Kent, which is a long trip at 40MPH.
Whats also prompted me is that I see an M38A1 being ...

Very helpful John, I'm going over to a friend tomorrow who has all the gear, and will test everything out.
Hope its not the King Pins, i have to import all the parts from the US since I'm in the UK and finding someone locally who knows jeeps is difficult. The nearest is in Kent a two hours drive ...

Steering wobble
NEKAF M38A1
Occasionally when i hit a bump in the road with the front wheels, the front wheels start to oscilate in a sideways motion which also shakes the steering wheel. Disappears after I slow down. Everything seems tight underneath. Jeep cruises fine at all speeds otherwise.
Any ideas?

Wheel threads
I don't know if this has come up before, but today I decided to tighten up the wheel nuts, which I have not done before and found that on the passenger side they were right hand threaded as normal, but on the driver's side both wheels had left hand threads.
Is this normal or perculiar to my jeep ...

Oil Inlet pipe replacement
Hi,
Just wondered if it is possible to replace the oil filter inlet pipe without having to remove the fuel pump as per the manual. Not keen to have to disconnect all the lines to the pump, bound to cause some damage.

UJ grease nipples
Hi,
I have been greasing up all the points on my NEKAF M38A1, read about the nipples being surrounded with a red paint circle, and lo and behold, when I cleaned off the old grease there they were!
The only npoints I couldn't get to were the UJ's on the front drive shaft, just impossible to angle the ...

Top Bow Rod
Hi,
I have problems with my canvas roof on my M38A1 hitting the top of my head. Am in the UK so need the top on most times. It is quite new and not overly stretched.
I see that one can get a Top Bow rod kit and wonder if this would help.
I also need to know how it is fixed, I cannot find any ...
