I have a venting windshield I restored that's on my M38A1 - likely not correct at all, I know, but it was the one my dad put on the Jeep when he built it from 2 wrecked jeeps nearly 50 years ago. I'll try to find my digital pics & post on this thread if you need reference.

I have a friend that restores mostly WWII jeeps, but recently received a rare M38C to restore. Crazy thing is, the entire external side of the tub has sheet metal brazed onto the original sheet metal! He's had to take a grinder to knock down the braze joint & peel off the added sheet metal to find ...

Great job!! Very interesting to see all the additional markings, such as under the hood & the yellow marking at the front of the hood - I haven't seen many of those, but most of the A1s I've seen in my part of the country are usually earlier models & have also been extensively used for other ...

Keeping it in the Family - Audrey's Hunting Jeep M38A1

I originally started a build thread on this jeep waaay back in 2004 or 2005 in another forum here on WillysMJeeps, but I'm restarting it here for a complete view & updated news (and I successfully cracked the code thanks to Wes' instruction on updating my Member Album).

Beginning of the original ...

Just seeing this, as I don't get on the forum much anymore, but thought I'd check how your A1 is coming along? I'm in NWA as well, and close to finishing my A! - hope to see you out & about in yours!

NOS Rysor (sp?) Heater for M38-A1

Hey! Would anyone have an idea what the going rate is for a new old stock heater, new in box, with all paper work & original packaging. The brand on the government tag is Rysor, although I'm probably butchering the spelling.

Thanks!

THAT IS PROBABLY DUE TO THE NEGATIVE BEING REVERSED WHEN THEY PRINTED THE PHOTO.

Sometimes magazines will flip pictures to make sure it works better with the 'gutter', or the crease in the magazine. This is more prevalent in the times where the magazine editors had to work with what they had ...
