The above suggestions are all good. Also suggest checking the pilot bushing in the back of the crankshaft when you have engine separated from bell housing. Sometimes they are worn or they get damaged on re installation of the transmission.

We will try to get pictures of the casting numbers off the head and block. Also a picture of the timing marks. Anything else?

The lumber inside the crate looks new but I'm sure is enhanced by the sodium vapor lighting in the shop where we took these pictures. Please don't be shy about giving us a bid on this.
