M38A1 Starter Problem

I went to start my A1 the other day and the starter is dead no noise as if it wasnt getting any energy, batteries on a Trickle Charger and at 26.3 Volts at the Starter Switch terminals, I took the switch apart and cleaned up the contacts that didnt help same result no noise, so what Iam asking is ...

Fuel Tank Lead Washers

What is being used as a replacement for the original 'LEAD' washers that were used on the fuel tank sending unit and fuel filter, any help is greatly appreciated.... Thanks Scott

your right, the reason you want the correct one is so you can remove the battery cap to check the water the way those mount defeats the purpose. Thanks for the info, Scott

On your pic asking what these brackets are for, if there are 3 or 4 holes towards the bottom of the body directly below the half round one there would have been a antenna mast there it held the UHF antenna for the MRC FAC system or just A UHF radio. Scott out

If you have the tailights with Douglas connectors you can remove the Packard connectors and replace with the Douglas there easy to take apart. Scott out
