Unfortunately I think we lost Bretto a while ago. He had some really good restoration photos as well as measurements for parts he fabricated.

It would be a shame to lose the good stuff.

I still chat with good buddy Bretto now and then. Life got in the way and sold that nice M38. He'll get back ...

My only concerns with the 11" brakes is I want to keep the stock rims and the kits available say they may not work. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Thanks!

Mike B :)

Mike, i have done 11" drum conversions on 2 jeeps, both with 16x5 and 16x5.5 stock KH and Motorwheel wheels. no problem ...

I am more than happy to thin my album, probably at least 50% or more. So much that is in there are pics of parts, multiples that were taken to illustrate an answer to a question someone on the forum posted. Really of no value now that the question was answered and the poster moved on. I dont spend ...

there was a bare trace of the decal on my m38 but not enough to even determine what it was.. that was a lifetime ago it seems. I run cuno on my mongrel 3A as well, see no need to line the pockets of flaps for a disposable element. i'm sure you know this but to swap in the cuno you'll need a new ...

John, there are plenty of dead frames out there. Put a note in the want to buy in hopes that someone would cut the tabs off a junk frame. I had a similar situation with my 3A and had tabs within a week. I'll wager the tabs for the 3A bot mt rad are same as M38 as well.

i was fortunate to start with an unaltered 24v system on my M38 build. During the build there were 3 or 4 other builds in progress and we all got together from time to time swapping this for that in needed parts. I was able to acquire a spare starter, genny, VR, dist etc. At that time (about 15 yr ...
