Good deal - glad to hear they are working for you. A bit confusing, though, because in your first post you said the taillights were working. In the stock configuration, NO lights will come on without moving the UNLOCK lever (Note 4 on the explanation page Wes posted). I wonder why you had taillights ...

The original light switch has three levers: one top center, one lower left and one lower right. The LR is an interlock that keeps you (a soldier) from inadvertently turning on lights: it must be raised to the UNLOCK position to allow either of the other levers to be moved and will spring back when ...

There is a color-coded wiring diagram available in the downloads section of this website under the M38 M38A1 M170 M606, Electrical link . That is a good starting point for troubleshooting. The headlights are fed by wires 17 & 18 (high and low beam, respectively) from the dimmer switch , which is fed ...

NAPA on-line shows the same Airtex 4032 listed for the CJ-3B, but it's not actually available from them on-line. "Call store for availability." It looks somewhat like the AC fuel pump an ebayer in Greece has been touting as an M38 pump (but looks different than the pumps I've seen in pictures on ...

Whoo! That must have been exciting!
The three screws Rick_L mentioned can be buggers to remove. They are slotted flatheads, so not much to get a grip on. The slots can be mucked up from previous attempts, and the threads can be rusted. I used one of those hand held impact drivers that you hit with ...

Re: Steering wobble
Occasionally when i hit a bump in the road with the front wheels, the front wheels start to oscilate in a sideways motion which also shakes the steering wheel. Disappears after I slow down.
I've experienced this years ago on a '53 Ford pickup with too much toe-in. The error didn't seem like much ...

The main body of the radiator is 20-1/4" wide, 17-3/4" high, and 3-3/8" thick. Those are outside-to-outside dimensions not including brackets, shroud, connections, neck, etc., but do include the top and bottom tanks. The core looks like 20" wide by 13-1/2" high.

Since he is in the Philippines, that would be 30-38°C, not F, so 86-100°F. SAE 40 should be fine. Castrol lists SAE 40 for temperature conditions above 60°F.

But the most important thing is: the jeep is running and I have fun with it! :-)
Most definitely, having fun with it is the most important thing, running or not. I'm actually having more fun with our project than I would if it was all done, but I'll admit I had fun with the jeep when I bought it ...
