The poster suggesting the bluetooth speaker is on the mark IMO. Battery powered speakers are relatively cheap right now. You can hide one close by the radio speaker and play audio through it that way. Or get a spare military speaker set, take the insides out and put the bluetooth speaker inside.

The RT-67 and RT-68 look identical, aside from the frequency readout in the viewing window.

The frequencies in the -67 and not used very much and for all practical purposes, you won't hear anything on it. I am a fan of running audio from your smartphone or modern radio to a speaker. That way, you ...

There really isn't much in that frequency range these days. Ham radio is 50-54MHz, but FM is not used much, and you would need to be close to whoever is transmitting.

As has been suggested, find a radio you want (try RT-66, RT-67, RT-68 cheap) for parts, gut the inside, install your CB radio and discreetly run the microphone and antenna out the back of the RT case.

Looks like I'll be going to NAPA tomorrow. Good to see another airman with an m-series. RC aircrew I presume?

Yep. Everyone loves the jeep on base.

Billybob- I'm by no means an expert mechanic, but the GL1 has been working fine for me. Picked that based on reading this and other forums. I just ...

I don't know where I got this from, but it is helpful. I have it taped to the wall next to my Jeep. Also, page 60 and 61 of TM9-8014 have a lube chart.

There is a seller on ebay that has signal switch kit for under $30. I received it this week and it seems pretty heavy duty. Comes with a wiring diagram.

There is another seller with 24v flashers and he also includes a socket, 24v bulb, and bracket to mount. That was around $12.

I am in the process ...
