My arctic top came with brass screws in the door handles. Didn't see any brass screws when I did my off frame restoration.

I filled the trans and the TC to the height of the fill plug. When oil starts coming out where you fill it, stop pumping in oil. I didn't clamp either end of the boot. The tranny is sitting up about 1/2 high than it was with the original L134 motor. I put a Kubota Diesel in it last summer raising ...

Transmission tower leaking

I thought my trans was leaking when I poked my head under the Jeep. After taking the floor out I realized all the fluid was coming from the trans tower boot. So I think the fluid is being slung up into the tower and then migrating out where the gear shift stick comes out of the transmission. The ...

I used Ultra Black, Sensor Safe in the same place and ever place I thought it might leak. I have no leaks in either tranny or Trans Case. I was clean with it so it didn't ooze out too much. Good stuff.

Parting out L134

Have many engine parts for 24 volt L134. tin, carb, starter, alt, dist. etc. My block was found to be cracked along with my backup block. So rather than source another block that may crack, I chose to go a different route. Please email me rwbd21@gmail.com and see if I have what you need. To see some ...

Cracked blocks

Long story short, My block was sent to the shop. They magnafluxed it and found a crack. I had a second block in the corner and sent that one in. It too was cracked in the same place. The shop said they all crack in the same place, that's why they swapped out the motors. If I buy a new L134 block ...

Ya thanks, It's been decked before cause the serial number was gone when I got it. I hope there is enough to work with. Do you think that the head gasket being bad would cause the oil to always be dark. It seems like the oil was always dirty.
I have another block that still has the serial number ...

Image I got here using an outside way. My kid helped me so I don't know. But here is the block. You can see I rubbed the valves with my finger.

Air coming from crankcase, pulled head off. Carbon build up on pistons not much carbon build up on valves. No.3 cylinder valves looked a lot cleaner than the rest ( less carbon). So since I'm here, I've not rebuilt this motor so I'm going to do it. Got the civvy manual out going line by line on ...

That's what I did this afternoon. I've done some reading in a civvy manual and followed the trouble shooting area. I removed the intake/exhaust manifold, valve cover. I was hoping for a broken spring or something obvious, nothing jumps out at me. Tomorrow I'll remove the head. I did notice some ...
