M38 vs M38A1 fuel pickup

Is the only difference between the M38 fuel pickup and the M38A1 is the the pickup tube and filter? Local guy has a M38A1pick up for sale. I was thinking of just cutting it down if the bolt pattern is the same for the fuel tanks ....

M38 rear pass. quarter question

Starting to work on my long delayed project again. Looking at the rear quarter with the amount of rust perforation large and small I'm thinking a repo part. Anyone have recent experience with a import panel as far as fit goes ?

The problemis most likely dissimilar metals , steel and aluminum dont mix.. You could try a soldering iron to heat up the screw and let it cool.

Waiting for the spring to have my tub done. Its nice that you can prime as soon as its dry. Being a moblie setup it works for me with where I live. It is about the same cost as me hauling it to the local bast company.

I had a old lawn mower with a metal gas tank that was coated inside
with a gum like goo. 6oz of MEK solvent cleaned it up real quick.
With the way things are today I would send it to a shop to have it boiled out. (MEK is nasty stuff to deal with)

465.00 and 490.00 to 520.00 are what 2 shops quoted me in the Boston area. The second shop said we have done flat head jeeps in the past and they run in that range. I can buy a reproduction for that kind of money.
