Went to the local parts house and ordered a gasket set and brake shoes they should be here tomorrow along with the felt seals for the drive shaft slip yokes. I picked up the good 2 lip seals today and ordered a ...

Wesk !!!! U-DA-MAN !!!
The guide you sent me is exactly what I needed. I was wondering how I was going to lock those shafts in order to torque the nuts and all I need to do is locate the oil seals.
I still don't see how the splines seal against the yoke. But I guess they just do! Some things don ...

To seal or not to seal?
Hey all, I got the m38 running like a charm. Thanks to all that helped on that problem.
Now the owner wishes to address the oil leaks, brakes and repair the alignment of the (bubba) installed 12v alternator.
Todays question is about the TFC output oil seals. The civie service manual has a ...

Thanks Wes,
The puller I borrowed belonged to a guy that owns a large machine shop, he built this puller with 1/2 in plate drilled it for 3 different hole patterns and used a 1 in. dia. fine thread bolt in the center. He told me when I first borrowed it to tighten the bolt as tight as I could get ...

Past bubbas have replaced the original military carb. with a Carter civie carb., then replaced that carb with a Crown carb., then replaced that carb with a Chinese Crown knock off that I can't get numbers off of to buy a kit. The owner brought me (thank god he saved ...

Anyone know where a exploded view (like the one that comes with a carb. kit) is for the carburetor on a 51 m38? I think my carb. is missing a gasket.
