For those interested, I found a place that customizes shocks and even makes the hard to find hydraulic shocks for your application. I have not ordered them yet, but he quoted me $375 plus S&H for my CJ2a. He can make them for any vehicle. Also does springs, etc.

Looking for a reasonably priced, used spare tire carrier for an M38! I know they are available from different retailers, but looking for a more affordable one!

Looking for a decent CJ2A, CJ3A or CJ3b tailgate for a CJ2A restoration I'm working on. Also need a decent steering wheel.

I have a quick question. I am installing a new top and bows on my 50 m38. The picture shows my question. Is there supposed to be a hole in the top bow to accommodate the rod coming from the windshield support?

In South Dakota, if the vehicle didn't originally come with seat belts, or is older then a certain year (which i can't remember), they are not required.

I'm trying to decide if lap belts would be a good idea. I'm about 5 miles from town and my wife is always nervous riding with me and also nervous about having the kids in the back seat. I feel if it rolled, belts would be bad, but for a collision, they would be good. Just looking for some opinions.

I had a radiator shop rebuild mine - looks new. He was telling me how many aftermarket tanks they have to fix for clients cuz they just don't fix - seems like fit of filler extension is major issue.

Is your tank so bad it can't be fixed?
