Electronic ignition for distributor
Are the electronic ignition (solid state) kits that were made back in the 80s for converting over from points to electronic ignition worth installing into the 24v distributor? I see some NOS kits being sold over seas but wasn't sure if they were really worth putting in or just stay with the old ...

Then and Now Automotive was asking on his Facebook page if there were any videos that people wanted him to make, so I asked him to make one showing how they preloaded the pumps when they did a rebuild so he made a video posted it to their Facebook page and onto YouTube a month ago or so. It's not ...

Wes I was just thinking about restoring the hardware on the jeep or sending it out to get yellow zinc plated for stuff that will possibly get remover or need repairs later like covers or drain plugs. Is it possible to paint nuts/bolts and screws OD and not ruin the finish assembling them, any tricks ...

Stock lug nuts size
Question for the experienced pros, did the 1953 m38a1 come from the factory with 3/4 or 13/16 inch lug nuts? Looked in the Ord 9 all parts book but it didn't list the OD size just thread size and quantity. Thanks.

Restamping engine block
Did they restamp the F 134 engine blocks behind the water pump after a engine rebuild with the MD engine # ? Can I assume that if the engine # starting with MD is still visible that the engine block has not been remachined for flatness? If the numbers have been machined off is there any way of ...

Wes thank you for bringing up the subject about the block. I knew about the crankshaft needing to be remachined to spec to accept the neoprene seal from scanning other posts but I guess I overlooked the part about the block needing to also be redone which only makes sense but I figured the seals ...

OK thank you Wes for correcting the photo link I was having a hard time with that and I couldn't figure out how to make sure the photo wasn't over 250k.
So can either one of these 2 styles be used in the D18 or is there a reason that one is machined differently on the backside than the other is it ...

Sorry Wes I should have gone by the parts book. It would actually be part "Z" in your photo, Spur, Gear WO-A10469. It appears there are 2 different styles only thing different is the backside. I just went by what the distributors are calling it. Thanks for the album I will try and figure out how to ...

Main shaft gear style
I see there are 2 different types of main shaft gears for the D18, both are the same gear count and practically identical but one style has a square shoulder on the backside the other a 45 degree chamfer. (Wish I could post pictures) My old gear that came out is the 45 degree style. I ordered a NOS ...
