Looking for some info on tie rod ends for my A1. I learned from you guys that Crown makes good quality jeep parts. Can anyone comment on the quality of their tie rod ends as compared to NOS? I guess I'm asking if anything is better about the newer Crown parts than older NOS? Has anything ...

Hi Ron,
Here's what I've got. Now I think the screw that hits the top of the blade is supposed to be a rivet.......I think my arms are new reproductions, which use a screw instead of a rivet. I've seen other supposedly original arms that did have a rivet, so maybe that cures my issue. But for what ...

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the pic. I installed them as you did.......they sure feel flimsy this way, but I guess they work. I then installed the arms on the wiper motors with the acorn nut, and then extended the wiper arm so the blade reached the bottom of the windshield. I'm assuming that will give me ...

Help needed with wiper blade install
Hi Guys,
Ok, no laughing. I mean it. Really. I feel stupid enough as it is. I finally got around to replacing the electric wiper motors that came on my A1 with the correct vacuum motors, arms, etc. Got everything installed, ran all the hoses and then went to put the blades on the arms. I'm ...

Radio Power Feed Installation Instructions Download?
Hi Guys,
Picked up the whole radio thing (PRC-10/AM-598/Power Feed kit/MT-759, antenna mounts, speaker, handset, etc, etc, at Aberdeen, minus one cable....I'll get to that in a minute. First, the Power Feed Kit is NOS, but it didn't have the instructions. I looked in the Download section here and ...

Unfortunately the old guy behind the counter at our local NAPA has retired/quit/died/moved to Tahiti/etc, and the young guns now have no clue how to find anything I need anymore. I would think I'd have a 50/50 chance they could find this loom if I brought a piece to show them........so unless I'm ...

Xamon,
Welding cast iron engine blocks isn't impossible, but is difficult to do correctly. The issue is how cast iron behaves when heated and cooled. There is tons of info on the subject online, but the bottom line is the person doing the repair has to understand cast iron and have the ability to ...

Hi Guys,
I realize you're talking M38 here, but in case anyone is interested in the Loom length for the tank sender in the M38A1.......the ORD says the Loom is 74" and the wire is 99" long. For the M170 those numbers are 68" for the Loom and 96" for the wire. Interestingly the Loom for the A1 has ...

Hi Ron,
I have to check. Since getting my jeep last year I've totally blown off the M37 guys.........but they should remember me. I'll see if any progress with Anderson has been made. I'll also keep an eye out for these valves at the east coast meets this Spring. I did pick one up last Fall at Red ...

Ah..........that makes sense. Thanks.
By the way........most of the doors I see for sale, either NOS or used, have foggy/yellowed windows. I get that vinyl gets like that........but does anyone know how long new canvas vinyl windows stay "useable" if well cared for? I see a new set of door canvas ...
