Thank you Frank and Wes,
I got in contact whith Harold B. and he informed me that my truck was built in Feb. 1956. This because of the registration # of the Dutch Military. I need this for the German title equivalent.
Yours,

Moin Frank,
thank you a lot for the information. Luckily this is the only repair job on my frame. So I can do this now after the sandblasting next week. And you really did great work on your first "Berlin" truck.
I guess everybody is interested in the restoration of the M170.

Viele Grüße,

Thank´s Wes now I know the origin of the pictures. It seems that Frank has a blank frame on hand so he is able to measure the fixing points what he want´s to do on the weekend. Let us see what is the result.
Thanks,

Hello Frank,
I don't know how the pictures got into my posting, but miracles happen. I actually need the measurements of the fixation points of your last picture (the ones with two holes on one and three holes on the other side). So please measure from the outside edge to the center of the holes and ...

Locating exact hole locations on tub mounts

Hello Brian and Wes,
I don´t know if I just can go on with this thread or have to open another one but I have a question I also can´t find an answer for:
On my frame (late version) on the tub fixation points "#5 left and right" (according to Wes´s description) somebody has enlarged the holes to make ...

Thanks a lot,
so that explains why all this black spots are popping up on the frame. So at least I know that this is the original one. By the way, NEKAF stamped in the vehicle # on the left, outer front of the frame between the lifting shackle and grille. In my case it is matching with the patent ...

What is painted black on a M38A1?

Hello to all,
I am reading this forum for about two years now. That is also the period I am owning a M38A1 NEKAF #MD11969. During that time I was still occupied with the restoration of my M715 and collecting spares for the M38A1 to start a frame up restoration now. I will not rebuild the truck with ...
