After reading Wes's post regarding "jeep lean" I may try shimming the right rear spring as suggested. My question is how thick of a shim do I need to use to correct a 1'' lean, 1 inch?

saggy a1

When looking at the front of my a1 sitting in my driveway I noticed the driver side seemed to be sagging. So the first thing I did was check the air pressure in all four tires and make sure they were the same then made sure there was not a low spot in the driveway. Using a four foot level sitting on ...

I am not seeing any mention of a primer arm on the carb in any of my manuals. The only primer arm that I am aware of is on the fuel pump.

Fuel primer

I have noticed if my a1 sit's for any period of time it is very hard to start so I have to remove the air cleaner tube and squirt gas into the carb. I have read about solution's to this problem among them being installing a fuel pump with a primer arm or the primer setup which I believe fill's the ...

m38a1 pintle

I want to add a pintle hook to my a1 and was wondering if they are all the same or were there different versions for different years.

I forgot to mention that I did a 12v conversion sorry about that. I read an old post on this forum from July of 2018 in which Wes mentions that the Prestolite 200691 was the coil used on the f134 for years and there is a place in LA that supposedly has them so it got me to wondering if this is a NOS ...

Thanks Wes I knew after taking the readings the coil was bad I just wanted to make sure that I did not need a special coil to use with the electronic distributor. So coil shopping I go. Anyone have a more reliable brand they like more than others?

Coil question

When using an electronic distributor is it ok just to use a standard coil? I tried to start my a1 last night but it would not fire. I did have it running a few months ago with the same ignition system in place and it ran fine. So I got out the multimeter to check the coil and I had a reading of 2.9 ...

Thanks everyone for your advice. I ended up ordering a pump from Walcks and it comes with a pulley which I assume is already installed.

Water pump advice f134

I filled the cooling system yesterday only to find this morning a coolant leak which appears to be coming from the water pump so I guess I will have to replace it. So are all pumps the same in quality are some better than others are there some to avoid?
