Have you confirmed the linkage Bell Crank in installed correctly per Dally's post?

Pulling the trans is not that big of a job...floor jack and basic hand tools should do it...

Yeah I went right to the manual and I have the proper free play in the pedal before the throwout bearing hits the pressure plate.

I will look for the grease when I open it up to look inside.

As for the levers, they are all what came on this jeep from the army. I bought it at auction a long time ago, Im the first owner outside the military.
It worked the clutch fine for years until suddenly a couple days ago.

M38a1 clutch problem

So this is going to sound strange but bear with me ok.

Last year we rebuilt the motor in my M38a1 and I put a new clutch and pressure plate from Walks 4wd in the vehicle.

When it was all back together the clutch would not release when the pedal was stepped on. Yes we had the proper freeplay and ...

Thanks Kendall.

I actually did a forum search on "coil testing" before I posted my question. I read the posts it returned for about 30 min then gave up and posted my question.
Wes's answer on that post was what I was looking for, thank you.

How to test coils?

Is there a way to test coils to determine if they are still good or going bad or failed?

I have 3 take out coils with no clue as to their viability.

Adjusting toe in

My front end got loose last year and my friend rebuilt my kingpin bearings and knuckles for me.
Within a few months I noticed it would tend to pull right especially on bumps.
I dont drive it as much as I used to now a days.

Well I got on the freeway yesterday and got a massive death wobble at 45 ...

Thanks so much for the help.

In the past I have been lucky using the newer kits with my spring and needle pin and a manual spec float setting. But part variance has caught up to me this time.

Wow very noticeable how much taller the MM kit needle plunger is compared to the RF kit.
Also the diaphragm springs as well. Very different.

Well from my recent saga its quite clear the needle and plunger in the MM kit are just too tall to allow fuel into the bowl even after flattening the float ...

Ok so I installed the first MM kit needle and seat and cannot lower the tab enough for gas to come out of the fuel line while holding the horn connected to the fuel line and cranking the motor. So that spring is just too tight, I have the tab flat all the way basically non exsistant.
So the ...
