I have never experienced aeration problems with DOT 5 & use it on every rebuild.
Vacuum bleeding helps rather than pumping the pedal.

You could do some searching regarding Philippines Jeeps. MD Juan are not the only ones in the Jeep building business as anyone who had visited/lived in the Philippines would know.

They fit WW2 Jeep style bodies to most Japanese brand/sourced used small pickup trucks. I am not talking about Jeepneys ...

Shell Rotella is very good I have always used
It is available @ Walmart.
A high detergent oil, it will keep good clean engines clean & free from internal sludge & deposits.
Not sure I would be changing to this oil in a very old, tired engine though.

Ford Pinto/Mustang engines have been used.
The bell housing should mate up with the Jeep transmission quite easily as they used to with the Ford Falcon 6 cylinder by adding a simple 5/8"-3/4"? spacer plate between the tranny & bellhousing.

That is called a woodruff key.
It is not intended to shear but just hold things in place & alignment plus rotate with the shaft that the pedal becomes part of when everything is assembled properly.
When you tighten the bottom pedal clamping bolt that is what locks everything in place.
No other ...

I thought I posted this previously but don't see....make sure the Pressure Regulating Valve [PRV spring & plunger] is in place & free to move in the oil pump. Can be done without removing the pump from the engine.
If missing in action or open you will NOT get oil pressure....also the pick up tube ...

Certain marques like Dodge/Chrysler used this until the early/mid 50's when they realized it made no real difference.

Concise answers can only relate to accurate, detailed descriptions.

Although NOT described this vehicle's problem may be missing under load/acceleration.
If so spark plugs are the most common cause/contributor to missing when trying to accelerate, under load. An EZ test is:

About 90% problems considered to be fuel related turn out to be ignition related. Ask any good mechanic & something one should always be aware of before diving off the deep end.

Depends on the intensity if the spark....you may have a short somewhere or you may just have the lights, ignition or something else turned on.
First thing to do is make sure everything is turned off.

Has your engine been dusted [run with no air cleaner]? This is indicated by the compression wet test....provided the initial test was done correctly.
Vacuum gauge readings are a very good indicator of engine condition.
