It couldn’t be this easy could it?

Truck DC 24v to 12v Step Down Converter Reducer Regulator 1.5A 18W Power Supply Adapter for Auto Car Bus Van Vehicle Boat Solar System etc.(Accept DC15-40V Inputs)

But I would need a 24V generator to keep the batteries charged.

M38 - MB Engine | 12V or 24V?

I have some time before I get close to this, but I want to start thinking about this and plan.

My M38 came with a MB Engine and 12V system to start up the engine. None of the gauges worked and the only lights that worked were the headlights. I haven’t checked if the gauges and other lights are 12V ...

Haven't updated this post in a while and would say I have done quite a bit of work over the last few years. Just not as much as I would of liked.

Parts painted:
- Transmission & Transfer Case
- Leaf Springs
- Frame
- Both Axles

MB and MC Engine Differences

Are there any differences between the MB and MC Engines? Tried searching the fourms and could not find a topic on this.

My 1951 M38 came with an MB engine.

Wanted to add some of the known issues I have with the Jeep that I will have to address at some point during the project. If you ever encountered these issues feel free to let me know how you fixed it. I would appreciate the help.

Thanks Ron for updating that photo! There is one thing I would like to ask of you. If you still have the bumper off of yours could you take a picture of that part of the frame from a downward angle looking inward? I assume that the top and outside side part are connected, but just want to make sure ...

1951 M38

I got this Jeep back in 2011 from my Uncle that got it after doing some dozer work for a guy. After seeing the Jeep sit there for a while I asked him if he was doing anything with and he said no and said I could have it and do anything to it as long as I didn't sell it. He told me it was a 1949 Jeep ...

Ron: Measurements Needed

Alright I got that winch plate off and grind off the welds to show what is left of the original frame. And well I am pleased at what was left as I thought there would be more gone. But, I still got some work to do.

Here are the pictures of my frame:

Forgot to add......my M38 front bumper is off at the moment. I could take some measurements if it would help.

And just because I'm not sure...the roached out horns advertised in Georgia on flea-bay are from a M38A1........are they the same as the M38 that Ryan has?

That would be great Rob! I ...
