Selling advice

So I have received my daughters first year college bill. 32K
I am trying to sell my M170 here on the for sale forum. Not a lot of interest.
I will take the advise given by Wes and take daylight pictures and probably do a you tube video.
My question is what would you do?

Where would you list it ...

Bushings

I posted the places I obtained the bushings for my M170 in the parts suppliers forums. Worked perfectly though polyurathance which is better than rubber IMO. THe standard shackle works fine from the M38A1 and there are people selling the type you are lokking for on ebay. Drive shafts Mullins has ...

Leaking oil canister gasket

None other than the discipline of clean, smooth, flat, fit. Clean surfaces, make sure the surfaces have no defects or scratches, parts have good flat surfaces and the parts fit together correctly. I have not had an issue.

oil full

the tube in the center of the oil filter has a small hole in it. It allows oil to continuosly flow back to the engine after filtering but it is a small hole to keep oil pressure high. if the engine sets for a while the oil level in the housing will drain down to even with the hole. If you take it ...

tail pipe

My nos long extension pipe was painted. It burned off fast to a dull black. The original on it ws s rusty bare metal but It could have had green on it originally also. I painted mine with high temp ceramic aluminum to look like it was galvanized. It has held up well and looks like galvanized after ...

I have done it recently and repeatedly. It is a patience thing. In and out over and over until success. Tempted to insert another word for success but keeping in clean.

M170 Spare rack

Too far to trust sending you mine. Look at the pic below. The main tube is bolted in three places; rear wheel well, center of spare (shown) and to the floor. The height is the same as the wheel well, the depth is to the floor behind the wheel body cavity (front of the tire rests against it) the ...

Rod knock/timing

Update:

When I rebuilt this engine I did the static timing as I couldn't see the marks when the light was shined on it. I bought one of those timing pointers and this weekend installed it. When I shined the light on it, it was way off. Re-timed it and it is the miracle fix. Noise gone. Drove it all ...

Rubberized L bracket

I bought a NOS bracket from midwest back when I was working on my M170 engine and it came out of the package with the rubber coating on the contact sides. Leave the rubber. I was also missing the other brackets and got them on ebay and see them pop up here and there. Call the trusted suppliers; they ...

Wires

There are cables on the inside that I would remove (look at the parts manual) and I would hit with a butane torch to get hotnenough fast. Slide the rubber sleeve back as far as possible and wrap with a rag. My two cents.
