Jeff...there are quite a few jeep afficiandos here in ON...the Elgin Jeep Troop in St. Thomas is a good group to get set up with and there's the spring show in Acton in March, of the Ontario Military Vehicle Association, and a few other ON members on the site here

also, make sure (if you're doing the prybar method) that you have a nice soft spot prepped for the diff. to fall onto...an old thick blanket folded a few times will work...W

John Deere Corn Head lube

you're welcome Skyjeep50...I'm sure you know, but I'll post in case others are wondering...I used black pipe bushing reducers to drop from , I think 3/4" NPT, down to 1/8"NPT so that I could use a a zerk fitting and pump the grease in, for both the steering box and knuckles...use caution at the ...

no heaters on mine Wes...floor centre section does get warm enough to heat the inside though, if on a trip with doors, and sides on, at least into late Nov.!...W

Wes...since I had to replace all the bearings in the rear axle due to suspected water in the axle(even the pinion and carrier bearings had to be replaced), I did just that...the zerks for the outboard bearings get a couple of shots once a year...W

Hi Wes...I don't know if it was a change to save money, or not, but on my M38CDN, the spring loaded vents are on top, but where the zerks would go, there are threaded plugs...W

front axle joint lube

I use John Deere Corn Head grease in the knuckles on both my M38 and M37, and in both steering boxes...the grease in NLGI 0, and is for use in low speed high impact applications...in your question, though, you say fron t and rear "hubs"...if you mean the lubing the bearings in the hubs, use wheel ...

Hi...firstly, Chris, thanks for the message about the mule tires...secondly, in regards to NOS springs, I'd like to find a set for the M38, which are different than the M38A1 springs I've seen, as the M38 springs are somewhat beveled at the outside edges...has onyone got a line on correct NOS M38 ...
