ID-tag of M 38 behind the passenger seat

Post by DocUwe »

Good evening from Bavaria!
Is the background colour of the ID-tag(MC xxx) behind the passenger seat ( M 38 ) aluminium-,white- or black coloured?
I am restoring the MC 50500 (DOD?) and I have found 3 possibilties of colour.
This is an addition anwer of the message "patent plate".
Thank you for answering!

51898 has a white background.

Wes I know you are looking for photos of original plates to assist in compiling this information.
However, to date I have not been able to take a picture that can truely show the colors. I have some more work to go in carefully removing a layer of OD to clearly show the background.
