Identification help for an old carb and spacer plate.

Post by danielornat »

I have a Carter carb with YF inscribed on the front. i got it from an estate auction so i do not know what it came off of. but the real question is what the spacer plate came off of. i has FORD stamped on the botom of it and it has part number 9 58SF on it as well.
on the body of the carb it says 1630 the top says 6-724 and the mid section says L25/964S. It would greatly benefit me to know a little more about it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

came off a ford 6 cylinder, it will not run right on an f head jeep engine due to larger jets, thats why so many jeepers have problems rebuilding them because of off the shelf generic kits that have the wrong jets
