I know this is not much, so I will remember to take some more photos the next time I am around an M38A1.

Here is a dash photo. I am sure others can give you more info. If I remember correctly, there is a windshield photo in the parts manual too.

thanks ryan, that does help. i posted on the teck forum also, so forgive me i wait for the cd and see what info it has. was wanting to see the diff in wiper moters as i don`t know the diff. thanks.

Is copper plated steel tubing available? From where?

Ken,
I haven't got around to refurbishing the metal plumbing on my M38 yet. From what I've heard here and on other sites the only answer for new copper clad steel tubing is to paint it a copper color or pay a lot of money for the chemicals and equipment to plate it.

You can take a solution of copper sulfate and apply it with gloves and a brush. It will allow a thin coat of copper to be plated to the metal.
I found it at a stained glass shop as my wife works a lot with stained glass and they sometimes use it to apply a coat of copper plating to the lead seams to make the color a copper color.
