M38 sparkplug cable order

Hi all,
Is the sparkplug cable order for the M38 the same as the picture recently posted for the M38-A1.Trying to get this thing started after 10yrs.Any pics.will helpful.

Yes if the recently posted photo is the correct photo. One M38A1 manual shows the civilian style distributor wire sequence. Fig 79 on page 173 of TM 9-8014 M38A1 operators manual shows #1 at 7 o'clock when it should be at 5 o'clock.

Thanks Wes.
After rotating the engine several times to 5 before tdc on compression stroke there was no way it was ever going to 7oclock .Your conf. of 5oclock was what I needed.The engine is now running. Looked like the shop was on fire until the oil in the cylinders from my pickeling it and the paint burning of the exhaust manifold and pipes went away.
