One More Paint Question For The A1 and How To Pull A Steerin

Post by madmike »

On Aug. 19th, Wes answered a question about the color for different components under the hood, however no mention was made for the fan. I have a USMC A1 and most of the engine items are the MC green and I have original paint on all but the fan, unless of course they painted it rust color.

Does Wes or anyone know the correct color for the fan? Thanks in advance.

Still trying to get the #%!@*$? steering wheel off without the puller shown in the manual. It ain't happenen'. Is the only way, to find a puller like the picture? A 6 inch C clamp under the steering wheel and a gear puller didn't work for me. It may have to stay in the way of this restoration.

Black fan.

There is a correct puller for the steering wheel. You see tham occasionally at surplus dealers.

The majority of the home made tools follow this construction.
