Hi,
I am putting my M38 back together and was installing the choke and throttle cables and noticed that my throttle cable is about 2" too short. The case is long enough to be clamped onto the carb, but the internal wire won't reach. Is there a way to braze or secure an extension to make it reach. I have extra wire from other cables.
It is the T-handle style with the word "Throttle" on it. I thought it was original, but now after reading some of the threads I am beginning to wonder. I thought a previous owner had cut the wire for a civilian carb.
Thanks for your help,
Kendall

Yes I have seen folks successfully weld an extra length of wire and grind it smooth enough to slide freely in the sheath.
