I think a $100 CJ3A falls under humor!

Just bought this, couldn't stand to see it scrapped. Got the motor, trans and transfer case, all three seats, and several wasp nests!
The head is cracked, and one of the pistons is a mess!
Story goes...the guy gave it to his son, it was rough but running, got a leak in the radiator, eventually ran it dry and cracked the head. Son brought it home, took it all to pieces, then left it in his dads shed. His dad put the jeep out a couple of years ago, but kept the motor and trans/transfer case in the shed. Told a friend of mine he was going to scrap it all, I gave him $100, now it's all mine...

Not sure what I'm going to do with it...might just put it in the front yard, sit Santa in it, strap Rudolph to the hood and call it Christmas decorations!! :D Just kidding!

Rick,
Yep, I feel like I stole it!! But the guy I got it from was as happy as he could be, I just think he was dreading loading it and hauling it off.

Zane,
I was wondering about the radiator, it didnt look right to me, but I am just now pawing over the parts. There is a 5gal bucket full of nuts, bolts, brackets, and a starter I am curious about. (Waiting on a reply from a pic I sent Bob W about that)

On another note MY NEW TOP ARRIVED THIS MORNING!!!!! :D Think Im throwing a tarp over the 3A and start fitting the M38 with new canvas!!!

What a great week!!
Thanks,
jason j

Nice CJ-3A!! Thanks for letting me know about it. That starter is probably an Auto-Lite MCH-6203 for your Jeep. In 1952 they changed from kick start to key activated starting on the CJ-3A.
