Proper Bumper Marking

Post by Nuketroop »

Hello,

I'm thinking about marking my front bumper to reflect the First Nuclear Weapons Unit in the military

I need to get with the base historian but in 1947 it was

"B Company, 38th Enginner Bn (Special)" Sandia Base, New Mexico

Whats the appropriate abbreviation for that?

It was still the Army back then, Air Force not yet created.

That would predate your jeep by 3 or more years. The answer is in AR 850-5 Army Markings. You can download it free on Jon's Jeep Draw web site
