CJV-35/U Question from a member - rickety41
From Rickety41:
I have a 1950 CJV-35/U serial number 10720. I have several questions regaurding this jeep.
1. Is this one of the CJV35/U's already known to exist?
2. How do I find the history of this particular jeep?
3. How much is it worth?
4. Did it see any action?
Reply from Ryan:
1. I don't see your serial number on the list at the CJV-35/U webpage http://www.cj3a.info/sibling/cjv35u/photos/picsv35.html
So I would say it may be a new find - which is great news.
2. Finding the history on a particular jeep is difficult. The best information is the painted unit markings on the jeep - usually under some other paint. Vehicle records were destoryed when surplused in most if not all cases.
3. Worth of the vehicle is difficult to determine without photos. Parts are difficult to find and expensive.
4. I don't believe that any CJV-35/U jeeps saw any action.
I am sure others will have good information to post here and the CJ3A page on the link listed above has good info on these jeeps.
I hope this helps.

The seats were beyond repair. As you can see there is quite a bit of rust in the floor board. It should be cut out and replaced with new metal. The dash has only surface rust with no severely damaged areas.
