Axe sheath mounting measurement

Post by Bretto »

Stemming from Rick's post.
On the axe sheath, I will be needing to buy and replace mine. Does anyone have or can you get the measurements as to where its placement is on the tub?

Thanks,
Brett

I've got measurements from one member (Jim) but want to see if there is someone else who can give me their measurement just to see if the measurements are the same. Wondering if there is a close position or an exact fitment.

Thanks,
-Brett

1st photo is measure from the body seam

2nd photo, 6 1/8" at the rear edge of sheath and 5 11/16" at the front of the sheath to bottom of tub

When I was measuring mine, I wondered if the angle of the sheath was intentional or just assembly "slop". Since Rick's is the same way, it looks like it may be intentional. Not surprised, because I've seen single bit axes that have offset in that direction.

Rick: why does yours look so much nicer than mine? All green and purty like . . .
