WWII is flat (Matte) OD and flat markings. Semi-gloss (satin) is a post WWII thing.

WWII jeep production ended in 1945 (flat finished jeeps from factory in 3 digit WWII OD) and post WWII military jeep production started in the spring of 1950 (semi-gloss 2430 OD from factory).
For in the field repaints the Army switched to semi-gloss shortly after the end of WWII.
