I can feel the end is near. Deep water fording kit, top rods& top, wood strips, vacuum hose, fit up the doors and done. There are more pics on the last page of my gallery here (page 5 under rdsar2k). The last page in my gallery has the latest.

Not yet. I start it up all the time and run thru the gears engaging the clutch but no maiden voyage. I live in a rural area and it is gravel as soon as I leave my outbuilding so I hesistate to kick up gravel on my new paint job . My plan is to completely finish it (stencils and all) then load it on my trailer and take it to a large parking lot to shake it down. I want to see how it judges in a MVPA show. If it is opined to be motor pool class then I'll start driving it. If it seems worthy of another class then I'll wait to drive it.
I have another M170 waiting in the wings that I plan on starting the resto on after this one is evaluated for completeness. I'll use that info to form my plan of attack. I have been collecting all the parts for it at the same time I bought the parts I put on this one. Should go much faster (this one took me over three years). The next one will be a gas personnel heater and original upper stretcher racks. I think I will go with the Vietnam green on it. The deep water fording capability seems to get the most reaction from the uneducated so it will also be built up with that installed.

Just because I'm so proud of it, I thought I would mention that this one has the original windshield glass. I got the windshield from a guy in LA that had kept it stored in a grain silo for 30 or so years. Looks new and has the makers mark in the corners. No age signs and is very transparent as if new. The windshield frame was perfect also. I referbished it but I could have just painted it and put it on.
