Picture needed of bracket

Post by Bretto »

Does anyone have a picture of the L-bracket that mounts the battery box to the bottom lip of the dash in front of the passenger? I've seen a few pics from above and can only see the bottem edge of it. I need an underneath shot or better yet just the bracket.
Thanks,
Brett

Thanks Wes. I can't tell, does the bracket mount underneath or on top of the dash lip? Appears to be on top. Any idea what guage the metal is? I'm hoping 16g should be fine.

Above the dash lop. 16 gauge should work ok. But notice the channeling which was done to increase the strength of the bracket.

My son has one that was removed when he installed the heater. I will see if he wants to get rid of it

Ya, let me know, that would work out great! :D That's funny, I'm heading the other direction, took out a heater and putting the battery box back in.

Made my own. I figured since I'm not putting a battery in the box and that I didn't feel like trying to form the corrugations, it will be fine as it is.

Nice work Bretto. If you decide to load a battery there this can solve the strength issue:
