Sector shaft

Post by Bretto »

Is the sector shaft diameter measurement taken on the shaft itself or at the splines. (if there is a difference) I dont have it with my right now but had my wife measure it at home and the shaft measured at 15/16". I dont want to order the wrong part. The ORD 9 shows 2 different parts for differnent serial # ranges.
Thanks

for an M38A1
-O.D. of the shaft itself should be 15/16" (0.937")
-span of pins are 2" on center

Yes there are two different size pins based on the diameter of the smooth surface that rides in the bushings,

Did you find a replacement? All the other posts on here seem to say that M38A1/M170 sector shafts are no longer available.

A: No, this is for M38 only. I do have the ball bearings and bushing for the M38A1 however.
